The Chicken Coop Railroad
The year is 1968. The cool and dry wind blows dust through the sage brush all across town, and the nearby streams bubble their way into Abo Creek Canyon where you stand.
You tip your canteen to wet your lips, and gaze in awe at the town before you - Mountain Air, New Mexico.
Behind you, to the South, you hear the noises of zoo animals and squeals of excited children as the passenger trolly disappears underground. To the North a mountain goat bleats, and you catch a glimpse of him just before he bounds off into the brush.
To the Northeast is a cluster of cliff dwellings probably left by the Anasazi, and to the East is Scott's Diner, an old converted train car. You think of an ice cold Coca-Cola and your mouth waters. But you're here for a different reason....You've come to see the model railroad that one man built.
Come let your imagination fly you to Mountain Air, New Mexico, where you can attend a wedding, investigate an old gold mine, skate a half pipe, and still get home in time for dinner.
