Personal Profile
Background
I have been involved in the field of Web development for over six years. My career began as a student working on the Northern Prairie Wildlife Research Center Web site. I then transitioned into the lead developer and content manager position for the Web site and gained valuable experience in Web development, project management, technical support, and customer service. I returned to school and completed a 2-year Web development degree program at Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Detroit Lakes, MN. I am currently working at North Dakota State University in Fargo, ND as the Web/Technical Support Coordinator for the Office of Registration & Records.
Objective
My goal is to work as a Web Developer or Web Content Manager, focusing on the design, organization, usability, and maintenance of Web sites with additional involvement in database interactivity, dynamic scripting and programming languages, and server management. I am a hard-working, highly adaptive, problem-solver looking to work in a professional environment where the people involved enjoy their jobs and take great pride in their work.

Philosophy
My Web development philosophy is to start with a simple, yet solid foundation of informative content that reaches its audience, and then build and improve upon that starting point. Much like a house needs a solid foundation, walls, and a roof to provide for the basic need of shelter, a Web page containing only content with a strong message can serve your Web site's basic needs. But also like a house, it is the look, feel, and added features that makes a house a comfortable home. As an experienced Web developer, I can help you add the right components and features to your Web site's content to make it a warm, welcoming, and comfortable place for your users to visit.
