Aside from HTML / XHTML, Jason has focused on many other scripting and programming languages that are used throughout the Internet. His programming language of choice is PHP, which is a powerful server-side scripting language used to create dynamic web pages. PHP can be used to create many Web applications and is especially useful when combined with a MySQL database.
Jason is also proficient with JavaScript and Perl. JavaScript is a client-side scripting language that can provide user interactivity among other things. Perl is a powerful language that is largely used with the Common Gateway Interface (CGI) Protocol. Perl can be used to create many programs, but its strength lies in data and text manipulation. Jason uses these two languages along with PHP to create fully functional Web sites that were built with the user in mind.
Since technology is always changing, Jason is continually finding new and better ways to write scripts. He also enjoys learning new languages to use. Jason is currently teaching himself how to use CFML, the language used with ColdFusion, and has on occasion used VBScript, a Microsoft language similar to JavaScript. Jason also had training in XML, Microsoft .NET and the C# language.
Jason strives to meet W3C standards and only writes valid markup code. He creates all of his pages to be XHTML 1.0 compliant.
